Grand Jury On Eric Garner Case May Come To A Decision Soon

In New York, a grand jury has been deliberating over the death of Mr. Eric Garner, who was placed in a chokehold by an NYPD officer and died as he was being arrested for selling loose cigarettes  in July.

The New York Police Department is prepared to deal with any fallout from the grand jury’s decision in the case to prevent protests that were seen last week in Ferguson, Mo., Police Commissioner William Bratton said on Tuesday.

Appearing on “CBS This Morning,” Mr. Bratton said the department has been “preparing for months now” for demonstrations connected to the Garner grand jury.
