OK, Fine. 
Cheney will never see the errors of his ways. He’s just plain ammoral. His approach is anything that achieves one’s end is OK as long as one sees one’s end as OK, which it must be because the lawyers say it was, based on cherry-picked background information. He will never see himself as the villain or a willing participant in illegal activities. “Sacrifice principle for expediency” surely is his family motto.
