If you start a fight with a trained MMA fighter, be prepared for them to finish it.
UFC fighters Leslie Smith and Heather Clark got into a difficult spot at a San Francisco nightclub over the weekend.
Jiu-jitsu fighter Cesar Gracie recounted on his official Facebook page that things got started when a “malcontent male” groped the fighters’ friend as she entered the club.
The UFC women’s bantamweight fighter then approached the man over the incident telling him “hey you can’t do that” which was met with a “f*** you I can do whatever I want.”
Smith retorted, “no muthaf***** you can’t,” reports sportsjoe.ie. It seemed to strike a nerve with the man, who reportedly then spit on her face and took a swing at her.
Smith ducked under the punch and took the man to the ground. There, she swiftly took his back and applied a choke before landing some elbow strikes and punches, reports sportsjoe.ie.
The man was unable to ward off her attack and resorted to grabbing her hair.
Smith’s friend and UFC straw-weight fighter Heather Clark reportedly then intervened and delivered a running soccer kick to the man’s groin, writes sportsjoe.ie. This gave Smith the opportunity deliver a series of elbows until the man apologized.
At this point, Smith let go and allowed the man to get up and go home. She and her friends returned to the club.
Smith: “…I stopped as soon as he said sorry, because that was really the only thing I went over there for.” She did not call the police, writes MTV.com.
However, “It has given my friend and all of my female friends so much pleasure to know that happened. It’s not an unusual thing for a woman, a good-looking woman in public to get grabbed and fondled by strangers. At first, I was trying to keep the whole thing on the down low and not say anything about it, but after seeing how happy it has made so many women, I changed my mind.”
