Who is James Woods?
According to Wikipedia: “James Howard Woods (born April 18, 1947) is an American actor and producer. A well-known character actor who often appears in villainous roles, Woods has appeared in a variety of films including The Onion Field (1979), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), Salvador (1986), Casino (1995), Nixon (1995), Ghosts of Mississippi (1996), Hercules (1997), and White House Down (2013). On television, he is known for acting in Shark (2006–2008).”
Sources claim that the “conservative” actor is suing a twitter user for $10 million, citing defamation. The twitter user claimed that Woods had a cocaine addiction and the actor took issue with the accusation.
The Oscar-nominated actor says he doesn’t use cocaine, so he’s suing an anonymous Twitter troll for $10 million for making that “outrageous” allegation.
In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles, the 68-year-old star says he wants the unnamed Twitter user — referred to as “AL” — to pay damages for a tweet that said “cocaine addict James Woods still sniffing and spouting.”
Woods is suing for “defamation and invasion of privacy by false light.”
According to NBC News, AL’s identity is not known, and the account, @abelisted (Abe Listed), has been deleted.
