Four police officers have been arrested on suspicion of physically abusing 13 children attending a police-run boot camp in San Luis Obispo, California, writes ABC7.com in Los Angeles.
The Police Department officers from Huntington Park, California, were arrested this week, writes ABC 7 news network.
All four officers posted their $20,000 bond.
The camp was from May 17th to 24th. The one-week “Leadership Empowerment and Discipline Boot Camp Program” brought at-risk youth to Camp San Luis.
ABC writes that promotional materials state the program is sponsored by Huntington Park and South Gate police departments and is designed for children experiencing behavior or disciplinary problems.
