A Marine assigned as a congressional aide to California Representative Duncan Hunter was arrested on August 4th for allegedly bringing a loaded .45 caliber handgun onto congressional property, according to The National Suntimes.
According to CNN, U.S. Capitol Police arrested Representative Hunter’s Marines fellow Peter Boby at around 2 p.m. after a routine car inspection outside the Rayburn House Office Building where Hunter’s office is located.
The publication Roll Call states:
“The Marine Corps congressional fellow arrested Tuesday on Capitol grounds was carrying two loaded guns, 114 rounds of live ammunition, a military ballistic vest and two knives in his car, court documents state. Following an arraignment, he appears headed for a new assignment, off the Hill.”
