Vanessa Williams was crowned Miss USA in 1984. She was the first African-American to win the pageant.
She will return to the pageant as a judge for its 95th competition this year, writes ABC News.
Williams will join host Chris Harrison, co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet, music curator Nick Jonas and celebrity judges Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Danica McKellar, Kevin O’Leary, Amy Purdy, and Zendaya.
The competition will be broadcast this Sunday on ABC, writes Entertainment Tonight.
Williams, now 52, was crowned Miss America 1984, but was forced to resign after nude photos that she’d taken earlier surfaced.
Williams resigned 10 months after winning the beauty pageant, which has been hard to deal with.
“That’s one of the problems that I’ve had to deal with for…my career. Not only being a Miss America, but being a scandalous Miss America,” she said.
