Water Boil Advisory Near Santa Fe

The New Mexico Environment Department’s Drinking Water Bureau has issued a boil water advisory for the Las Campanas Water System, which is about 10 miles west of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

NMED issued the advisory after bacteriological contamination, E. coli, was detected in drinking water samples. The advisory only applies to the drinking water from the Las Campanas Water System and does not extend to any other surrounding water systems.

Consumers are advised to boil the water for five minutes before drinking, cooking, dish washing and bathing.
