In Silicon Valley in California, a realtor has a garage in the city of Palo Alto listed for sale at $1.98 million, according to the website Marketwatch. Other websites call it a “shack.”
“Exciting opportunity to build your dream home in charming Barron Park neighborhood. Quiet streets in an established community,” reads the write-up to potential buyers online. “The neighborhood is home to Bol Park, bike paths, close to top Palo Alto schools, Stanford University and California Avenue with restaurants, the farmers’ market, and shopping,” states the listing.
Most reports state that the shack is worth very little, but the land around it is the reason for the high price. However, some sites state that the lot at 829 La Para Avenue is not particularly big. The shack has no heat or sewer hookup, according to ktla.com.
