Indiana Anti-Abortion Law Mandates That Aborted Fetuses Must Be Buried Or Cremated

A new anti-abortion law in Indiana, signed by Governor Mike Pence in March, prevents abortions based on genetic abnormalities and states that aborted fetuses must be buried or cremated, writes the publication Jezabel.

The law was set to go into effect July 1st, and Planned Parenthood of Kentucky and Indiana, partnering with the ACLU, have filed a lawsuit to stop it.

According to CBS News, the law makes Indiana one of the most restrictive states in the U.S. for abortions, joining only North Dakota in banning abortions sought because of genetic fetal abnormalities.
