Miracles usually bring Christians together, but a Las Vegas church was recently divided by one because some members didn’t agree with the source of the miracle. The Church Abundant Living Las Vegas recently saw a miracle when Mike Persi, who had been unable to walk without assistance for 33 years, was finally able to take his first steps.
How did he do it? He claims Yoga was the answer.
While many members of the Abundant Living Las Vegas congregation, including Pastor Bob Perry, are thrilled and feel that this is a miracle, others are not so sure, and have left the church as a result, writes Buzzfeed.
The story of one man’s healing brings to light a national controversy that exists among Christians as to whether yoga is something that Christian’s should partake in, writes Buzzfeed.
Many believers are at best skeptical of yoga, based on yoga’s roots in Eastern religion. As Mike Persi is beginning to walk again, many feel this miracle is not of God, but rather of a different, potentially evil, source.
Pastor Bob Perry continues to support Mike and his path to recovery. When Mike came to him with questions about yoga, Perry says “I told Mike to pray, to hear from God, and to be led by peace.”
Perry says he’s been very impressed with how Mike has handled this controversy and not let him sway him from his goals.
The topic of Bob Beckel’s absence from The Fox program The Five made its way to The O’Reilly Factor Thursday night when Bill O’Reilly fielded a question from a viewer on his whereabouts.
In response to a viewer named Gloria Caruso from Buffalo, New York who wrote, “I have been trying to find out what happened to Bob Beckel,” O’Reilly said simply, “He had back surgery, Gloria.”
Beckel has not been seen on The Five for more than 9 weeks and gave a similar explanation on Twitter early last month. The Five’s Greg Gutfeld later confirmed the date of Beckel’s surgery on March 26th.
The Fox News “fake liberal” co-host of The Five, Bob Beckel, has been off the show since February 16th.
In response, MediaITE created a “Where’s Bob Beckel” game. There are five of him to be found. See if you can spot him!
Fox News’ Bob Beckel horrified his fellow co-workers on The Five by comparing the acceptance if radical Islam to interracial dating.
According to MSNBC, “witness 40” spoke on the record for the first time to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, raising new questions about the Bob McCulloch’s grand jury process.
NY Daily News states that witness 40 – Sandra McElroy – claims her version of events, which happened some 30 miles from her St. Louis home, is the truth, and that investigators just tried to discredit her “because of my racial slurs.”
McElroy presented the grand jury with copies of her Aug. 9 journal entry about her “random drive to Florisant (sic)” in her attempt to “understand the Black race so I can stop calling Blacks N—–s.”
McElroy’s racism is well-documented in her social media footprint.
She also used Facebook to chime in on the Ferguson shooting. On Aug. 17, she wrote, “Prayers, support God Bless Officer Wilson,” and used the social media site to try to raise money for the officer.
In her journal entry about the Ferguson shooting, she wrote, “The cop just stood there dang if that kid didn’t start running right at the cop like a football player head down.”
