Crash On Ohio Turnpike Kills Pregnant Woman, Unborn Baby

A heavy snowstorm on Saturday is to blame for an Ohio Turnpike crash that killed a Michigan woman and her unborn child.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said Beverly Smith, 32, of Middleville, Mich., and the baby she was carrying died as a result of their injuries. Her husband, Eric Smith, 33, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, the patrol said.

Eight vehicles were involved in the crash, which blocked all of the westbound lanes of the turnpike. The crash involved five semi-trailers.

The woman was a passenger in a Ford F-150 that her husband was driving when the crash occurred, the patrol said. They were trapped for a long time in the vehicle, which ended up underneath a trailer. Once they were removed, the Smiths were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio.

Six other people were injured, but they refused to be treated or taken to the hospital, police said.

Pennsylvania Man Axes Wife To Death On Christmas Eve

In Pennsylvania, a 36-year-old man admitted to axing his wife to death before taking the couple’s two children to his parent’s house and calling the police to confess his crime.

Dustin Lee Klopp admitted to killing wife Stephanie Kilhefner with an ax at their Paradise Township home in Pennsylvania at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to a statement from Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster.

In an attempt to cover his crime, Klopp tried to clean up the blood and moved his wife’s body to a garden shed at the property.

Having called the police at around 5:20 p.m. on Christmas Day, Klopp reportedly turned himself in at around 6:30 p.m. The police stated that he gave a detailed account of the incident during questioning.

When a state trooper arrived at the property at 623 Georgetown Road, where the murder took place, they found Kilhefner’s body in a carrier bag in the shed.

Study: Massachusetts’ Romneycare Saves Lives

Obamacare is similar to Massachusetts’ own Romneycare in its structure, implementation, and effectiveness.

A study came out in the New England Journal Of Medicine that shows Romneycare saves lives.

This raises the question:

How many people will die if the Supreme Court strikes down (parts of) Obamacare and takes away insurance from some people?

Would that decision (supposed to occur next year) kill people?
