Another Look At The Duggar Situation

TYT Network

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are defending their handling of eldest son Josh’s molestation of five underage girls, including four of their daughters, writes TYT Network.

In an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on ‘The Kelly File’ Wednesday, the reality TV stars went into great detail about what exactly happened 12 years ago when Josh, the eldest son of the ’19 Kids and Counting’ clan, confessed to having touched some of his younger sisters inappropriately.

“There were a couple of times he came and told us what he had done,” Jim Bob Duggar told Kelly of how the found out about Josh’s actions. “Again this was not rape or anything like that, it was touching someone over the clothes. there were a couple of times he touched someone under the clothes, for a few seconds. Each time he came and told us crying. It was the third time that we decided we needed help.”

According to The Washington Post, in newly released portions of an interview with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, Jessa Seewald came to the defense of her oldest brother, Josh Duggar.

“I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist,” Seewald said in the interview. “I’m like that is so overboard and a lie really. I mean people get mad at me for saying that, but I can say this because I was one of the victims.”

Another Duggar sister, 24-year-old Jill Dillard, said that although it wasn’t their “first choice” to speak publicly about the matter, she and Seewald decided to “set the record straight” once the story broke and was widely discussed.

SNL’s Kenan Thompson Reportedly Calls Bill Cosby A ‘Monster’ Regarding Sexual Assault Allegations

Kenan Thompson SNL

“Saturday Night Live” actor/comedian Kenan Thompson stopped by the University of Pittsburgh on Monday night to look back on his career and make some jokes, according to The Huffington Post.

Thompson allegedly also took a few moments from his appearance to talk about Bill Cosby.

During his stand-up set, Thompson reportedly called Cosby a “monster” in regards to the recent sexual assault allegations against Cosby, according to the University’s student newspaper, The Pitt News.

The paper says Thompson kept the rest of his comments on Cosby light with his “SNL” impression.

Reddit user  “Definitely_Ambiguous” posted in the “Live From New York” subreddit section Monday night that Thompson shared stories about his time with Cosby on the set of the 2004 film Fat Albert.  Here’s what Thompson allegedly said, according to the Redditor:

So like, he started by talking about actually not getting the role of Fat Albert, but it then went into development hell for two years. After (or during, I can’t remember) his first season of SNL, he got the gig. He then talked about an odd remark Cosby made to him while filming, something like, “So Cosby pulled me aside and said that after the movie comes out, it’ll be so hard to keep the women off you, you’ll need two dicks.” And then he brought, like, his mom to see Cosby and he was creepy and bounced her on his lap and said something about horse riding like a kiddie..

Kenan got pretty real and just talked about what it feels like to have someone go from so commonly liked to being a piece of shit. He, like so many others, noticed kind of odd behavior awhile ago and just never put it all together. He said he wished someone had a recording or something so the guy can go to jail.

Trial To Look At The Role Of Online Bullying In Suicide Death

A 15-year-old California girl hanged herself a week after three classmates photographed themselves sexually assaulting her at a 2012 party.  She reportedly was petrified the boys would circulate the photos online and believed gossip about her was spreading widely, according to philly.com.

And perhaps it was spreading widely.

Audrie Pott’s story has captivated those concerned with teen bullying, which appears to be on the rise with the help of smartphones and social media.

A wrongful death trial this month in San Jose will determine whether bullying played a role in the girl’s suicide.  What do you think?

Lawyers are scheduled to argue Wednesday over what evidence the jury will hear, while opening statements are expected to start next week.

The three boys, now high school seniors, and other teens are expected to deliver uncomfortable and emotional testimony about the party where Audrie was sexually assaulted after passing out drunk, as well as about other events leading up to her death.

‘7th Heaven’ Actor Confesses To Molesting Three Children

According to laist, actor Stephen Collins has admitted to molesting three underage girls.

The 67-year-old 7th Heaven star sent People a statement detailing the events that reportedly occurred over the span of 20 years from 1973 to 1994.

“Forty years ago, I did something terribly wrong that I deeply regret,” Collins writes. “I have been working to atone for it ever since.”

In the statement, Collins writes that when he was 25, he exposed himself twice to a pre-teen girl in 1973, according to PEOPLE (via E! Online).

“When the girl and I were watching TV alone, I moved her hand in such a way that caused her to touch me inappropriately,” he writes. “It was a completely impulsive act, and it’s haunted me ever since to think of what I put her through.”

Philadelphia Magazine On Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham issues second response to sexual abuse controversy An interesting article by Monica Weymouth in phillymag.com sheds some light on the Lena Dunham controversy.

In her book, Dunham describes some instances from when she was younger that border on her molesting her younger sister.

Unfortunately, in the news, some left-wing pundits are finding themselves painted into a corner.  Because conservatives feel it was bad, democrats or liberals may feel they have to defend her.  They don’t.

According to Weymouth:

“A discussion about Lena Dunham has a way of sending everyone to their respective, petty corners.

“Feminists over here. Those who are offended by imperfect nakedness, over there with Mr. Stern. Jealous writers who didn’t get a sweet advance on the book they haven’t written, right this way please (it’s getting crowded over here — watch the elbows). Casual fans who just want to relax and watch Girls? You’re a little well-adjusted for this group, but sure, there’s one corner left.”

Weymouth continues:

“If the more conservative nooks of the Internet have the tendency to ignore decency for the sake of an argument, the more liberal have a knack for brushing aside common sense. Somehow, we’ve created an environment where defenses like the Dunhams’ might fly — where if a man on the wrong side of the aisle questions why you’re masturbating next to a child, he’s the disordered one. Where if you have a college degree and can drop words like ‘heteronormativity,’ your experiences are viewed through a more forgiving lens and chalked up as quirky as opposed to abusive.

“Just because Dunham is a white woman from an upper-middle-class background doesn’t mean she gets to play by different rules. This one, ladies, is simply not your feminist cause.”

This is a perfect example of why political liberalism should be separated from cultural liberalism.  Just because the left believes in a higher minimum wage, that doesn’t mean they need to stand up for child molestation.
