CBS Denver: TSA Screeners At Denver Airport Manipulated System To Grope Passengers

Two TSA agents allegedly changed the screening system at the Denver International Airport in order to grope male passengers. The agency has since removed the two officers, Mashable confirmed.

“These alleged acts are egregious and intolerable,” TSA spokesman Ross Feinstein said.

It happened roughly a dozen times, according to information gathered by CBS4 in Denver, Colorado.

According to law enforcement reports obtained during the CBS4 investigation, a male TSA screener told a female colleague in 2014 that he “gropes” male passengers who come through the screening area at Denver International Airport.

“He related that when a male he finds attractive comes to be screened by the scanning machine he will alert another TSA screener to indicate to the scanning computer that the party being screened is a female. When the screener does this, the scanning machine will indicate an anomaly in the genital area and this allows (the male TSA screener) to conduct a pat-down search of that area.”

Although the TSA learned of the accusation on November 18th, 2014, from an anonymous tip from one of the agency’s own employees, reports show that nearly three months would pass before anything was done.

Bill Cosby Scheduled To Perform At Buell Theater In Denver

Bill Cosby released a statement Thursday thanking fans who purchased tickets to see him live for their continued loyalty, despite the rape allegations that have tarnished his reputation.

The embattled comedian is scheduled to perform back-to-back standup comedy shows at Denver’s Buell Theater on Saturday, his first on U.S. soil this year.

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who represents several women who have accused Cosby of sexual violence, is planning to join protesters outside the Buell Theater during his performances.

“Dear Fans: I have thousands of loyal, patient and courageous fans that are going to leave their homes to enjoy an evening of laughter and return home feeling wonderful. I’m ready! … I thank you, the theatre staff, the event organizers and the Colorado Community for your continued support and coming to experience family, fun entertainment,” reads his statement, obtained by the Denver Post.

The message ends with a reference to his highly acclaimed “Fat Albert” cartoon series and 2013 special on Comedy Central: “Hey, hey, hey — I’m far from finished.”

Jets Haven’t Requested Interview With Ex-Denver Broncos Coach John Fox

ThatsGoodSports video.

According to NJ.com, there are conflicting reports as to whether the New York Jets have requested an interview with former Denver Broncos coach John Fox.  Some sources claim the Jets actually have not yet requested an interview with him.  Moreover, Fox would be willing to speak with the Jets if they do reach out, according to a source with knowledge of Fox’s thinking.

Former Denver coach John Fox has declined the Jets’ request to interview for their head coaching vacancy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It seemed likely that the Jets would at least try to contact Fox, who parted ways with the Broncos earlier Monday, because he is now the most experienced head coaching candidate available. However, sources say Fox said no thanks immediately.

Charley Casserly, the former NFL general manager who is consulting Jets owner Woody Johnson on his coach and GM searches, went on ESPN New York radio on Monday and said he was not surprised that Fox and the Broncos had a mutual split.

According to AJC.com, John Fox is out at Denver, but don’t expect him to be in with the Falcons. The team has no plans at this time to interview him.

That could be a mistake.  Fox has coached two franchises (Carolina, Denver) to Super Bowl appearances, and he’s the only proven veteran head coach on the market and he’s familiar with the NFC South from his years with the Panthers.

However, Fox is going to interview with the Chicago Bears.  They seem like a perfect match to some sources, and it would be surprising if they didn’t make a deal.

Denver Police Punch Suspect And Trip His Pregnant Girlfriend

According to FOX31 in Denver, a video taken by a witness during an arrest shows a Denver police officer punching a suspect in the face six times and then tripping the man’s pregnant girlfriend.

The witness who took the video claims an officer took the tablet he was using to record the arrest and deleted the video file, not realizing it had already been stored on electronic cloud storage.

The limited-use video obtained by FOX 31 in Denver shows the suspect’s head bouncing off the pavement from the force of the punches.

Police reports state that the police officer, Charles “Chris” Jones IV made the arrest after undercover narcotics police officers say they saw the suspect, David Flores, a suspected drug user, stuff a white sock in his mouth that they thought contained drugs.

Police say Flores refused to respond to requests to show his hands.

While Jones and his partner Christopher Evans were holding and punching Flores, Jones pulls the feet of Mayra Lazos-Guerrero, 25, out from under her, causing her to fall.

Jones said he tripped her because he thought she was going to kick him. He also cited reasons for why he punched Flores.
