Obama Admits His NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket Is ‘Over’

At the White House Science fair this morning, one of the contestants wished President Barack Obama “good luck” on his NCAA basketball bracket, say sources.

“It’s already blown up,” Obama replied wryly. “It’s over. It’s over.”

Obama picked number 1 seed Villanova and number 2 seed Virginia to make it to the Final Four, with Villanova reaching the final against Kentucky.

Virginia and Villanova have been routed.

Seattle Coach Discusses Final Play Call In Super Bowl: MSNBC

Many people – amateures and experts alike – questioned the Seattle Seahawks’ final play on the goal-line in the Super Bowl.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll – whose controversial goal-line call helped clinch the victory for the other team – tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer he’s been “sleeping some” in the days following the game. He says he remains confident that the call won’t haunt him.


Britain Retraces Winston Churchill’s Funeral Journey 50 Years Later

It was the day an entire nation was watching, re-created 50 years later.

Britain has commemorated the state funeral of wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill by retracing the actual journey of the funeral.

Prime Minister David Cameron described Churchill as a ‘great Briton’ who should never be forgotten, and laid a wreath in his honor.

Churchill’s family stood aboard the merchant vessel Havengore, as it made its way down the Thames from the Tower of London to Westminster as it did in 1965.
