San Francisco Man With Airsoft Gun Killed By Cop

A 32 year old man was shot multiple times in an apparent “Suicide by Cop” in the parking lot of the Mission District Police Station in San Francisco.

On Sunday, Matthew Hoffman, 32, confronted police outside the department’s Mission station, brandished a pellet gun. He was shot and killed by officers who thought it was a real handgun.

The case now appears to be one of suicide by cop.

LAPD Investigate Song Parody Mocking The Death Of Mike Brown

The LAPD are investigating LA Officers performing a song parody mocking the killing and death of Mike Brown.

According to the Huffington Post, the song was performed at a retired officer’s party.

Twitter Hashtag #CrimingWhileWhite

As a protest to the the grand jury not indicting the policeman who killed unarmed black man Eric Garner in New York, whites started telling about their own experiences with police officers under the hashtag #CrimingWhileWhite.

Under the #CrimingWhileWhite hashtag, people would post stories of being let go by police or given lenient treatment after they were caught doing something apparently unlawful.

Can people get into trouble for admitting to wrongdoing online?

According to FastCompany, Marc Costa, a New Jersey police officer and CEO of law enforcement startup MIR Systems, said of police:  “If you’re looking for someone, you check Facebook. You look for acquaintances and local friends you know a person hangs out with. Twitter is the same thing—we use it to follow timelines and track peoples’ actions. You can’t use it solely as evidence but you can use it as part of an investigation.”

Ferguson Missouri Updates #Ferguson (Tim’s Take)

The grand jury for the Ferguson case is now planning to meet on Monday. A vote had been expected as early as Saturday in the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown.  Last week, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon announced a 30 Day State of Emergency.
