“A racist teacher in Texas wants to return to segregation but claims through a hashtag that she is not racist in viral Facebook rant on McKinney,” writes Majority Report.

A fourth grade teacher at Bennett Elementary School in Wolfforth, Texas, has been ‘relieved of her duties’ by the Frenship Independent School District after posting her opinions about the McKinney pool party incident online, according to kcbd.com.

Karen Fitzgibbons shared an article to her profile stating she was “ANGRY” that police corporal Eric Casebolt resigned.

In the post, she made several references to “the blacks” as being the cause for problems and “racial tension,” writes kcbd.com.

“This makes me ANGRY!” wrote Fitzgibbons in her racist rant Wednesday about Cpl. Eric Casebolt of McKinney, Texas, according to the New York Daily News.

“This officer should not have to resign. I’m going to just go ahead and say it…the blacks are the ones causing the problems and this ‘racial tension.’ I guess that’s what happens when you flunk out of school and have no education,” she wrote, as reported by KCBD.

Fitzgibbons went on: “I’m almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone. Maybe the 50s and 60s were really on to something,” writes the New York Daily News.

Are Teachers Treated Poorly In This Country?

Annika McKenzie, 34, is charged with second-degree assault and strangulation for physically attacking a teacher, according to ABC 7.  Her 14-year-old niece is facing second-degree assault charges as a juvenile.

McKenzie allegedly became enraged because she believed that a math teacher at Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School in Hempstead, Long Island “put her hands on” her 12-year-old daughter, the New York Daily News reports.

The teacher, Catherine Engelhardt, was outside her classroom at around 2 p.m. when, cops said, McKenzie attacked her. Engelhardt is a 22-year veteran of the Hempstead School District.  McKenzie allegedly knocked the teacher to the ground, then put her in a chokehold until she lost consciousness, according to Pix 11.

The niece allegedly joined in the attack by punching the teacher in the head, Hempstead Police Chief Michael McGowan told Newsday.

Teacher Goes To Jail For Showing A Bad Movie

“A former substitute teacher convicted of showing a movie including graphic sex and violence to a high school class was sentenced on Wednesday to 90 days in jail,” according to the Huffington Post.

The teacher should be disciplined by the school, but should she be put in jail?

Sheila Kearns, who was convicted in January of four felony counts, showed it to her Spanish classes at Columbus’ East High School in April 2013.

The movie, “The ABCs of Death,” consists of 26 chapters, each depicting some form of grisly death, states The Huffington Post.

Kearns, who showed the movie during five periods of the class, was convicted of “disseminating matter harmful to juveniles,” according to The Huffington Post.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that the judge placed her on probation for three years but made the jail time a condition of probation.

High School Teacher Found Hanging In Classroom

KABC reported that a school in Placentia, California was shocked and wracked with grief after a 31-year-old teacher was found hanging by students in an El Dorado High School classroom Monday.

Authorities responded to a 911 call at the school at 8:34 a.m. and found Jillian Jacobson, of Anaheim, in full cardiac arrest.

It was an apparent suicide, according to CNN.

9th Grader Fights Teacher For Confiscated Cell Phone (Video)

A high school student in Paterson, New Jersey was charged with assault Friday on suspicion of “body slamming” his physics teacher who took away his cell phone.

Another student recorded the alleged assault, which happened last Monday at John F. Kennedy High School.

In the video, the 16-year-old student appears to wrap his arms around the teacher and knocks him into an empty desk. The student then wrestles with the teacher before slamming him to the floor.

As the teacher lies on the ground, the teen can be seen taking something him as someone else yells “Security!” WPIX reports.

Mexicans Protest Killings

The mayor of Iguala, Mexico, and his wife are accused of asking drug gangs to help police prevent students from disrupting a public event held by the wife. Around September 26th, 43 students were kidnapped and killed.

The protesting students were from a teacher’s college in Iguala, about 120 miles south of Mexico City.

Gang suspects have confessed to slaughtering 43 missing students and dumping their charred remains in a river.

In recent weeks, tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets of Mexico City and those of the southwestern state of Guerrero where the students were abducted to decry the government’s handling of the case.

More Ebola Hysteria: Teacher Who Visited Kenya Quits

A teacher at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School in Louisville, KY, who had recently returned from a mission trip to Kenya has resigned amid swirling frustration and fears about Ebola.

The school had asked Susan Sherman to take a paid “precautionary leave” of absence of 21 days upon her return from her trip after “strong parent concerns” about Ebola. It also asked Sherman, who is a registered nurse, to provide a doctor’s note stating she was in good health.

There have been no reported cases of Ebola in Kenya. Indeed, the archdiocese, in a statement released last month regarding Sherman’s trip, noted that the Kenyan village where Sherman was working — the remote village of Migori — is “in Eastern Africa, thousands of miles from West Africa, where the main outbreak of the virus is located.”

Recent Ebola Hysteria

A teacher in Maine was put on a 21-day leave because she had recently been to Dallas.

Also, two elementary school children are being kept from attending school in New Jersey because they recently moved to the U.S. from Rwanda.

However, Rwanda is in East Africa, 2,600 miles from the West Africa region afflicted by the Ebola outbreak.
